Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park is rightly famous for its stunning mountain views, but it is also a wonderful place to view and photograph birds and other wildlife.  This is a Clark's Nutcracker (Nucifraga columbiana).  As a member of the Covidae family, it is related to jays, crows, magpies and ravens, among others.  According to the Field Guide to Birds of North America, Clark's Nutcrackers feed on nuts, insects, eggs and young of other birds, lizards, carrion and small mammals.
