Buster the cat, on duty
Location: Kohala Coast, Big Island, Hawaii
It's been awhile since I posted a photo of our twelve-year-old cat, Buster. Here he is on his favorite perch in the garden. The perch actually is a large flat rock atop the end of a stone wall that my husband built alongside one of the garden paths. A creature of habit, Buster sits in repose on that perch, surveying the scene, nearly every day from late afternoon until just after sunset.

Lovely shot - what a sweetie. I bet Buster is enjoying the heat in the stone by late afternoon - a natural heatpad!
Very nice photo of your cat. They do like to have comfortable places to bask in the sun.
That rock looks perfectally made to fit! Buster is adorable!
@ Celeste - You've got that exactly right. That stone is nice and warm by the time Buster positions himself there in the afternoons.
@ Barbara - Thank you. Kitties and sunshine do go together.
@ Becky and Gary - It is a good fit. It was intentionally selected for the cat's perch by my husband.
